latest NEC Electronics innovations at CES 2010.
Featured Demonstrations at the USB TechZone in South Hall 3,
Las Vegas Convention Center
NEC Electronics will demonstrate the world's first USB 3.0 host solutions showcasing SuperSpeed USB data
traffic at 5 Gbps. In addition, you can get the latest information on USB 3.0 SoC design solutions for
fast-turn custom designs.
Live Demonstrations
-
See the difference in action between USB 3.0 vs. USB 2.0 as media files are transferred between
host and device.
-
Check out the latest exciting new products that incorporate NEC Electronics USB 3.0 technology.
Featured Demonstrations at the Hilton Hotel
If you develop smartphones or mobile internet devices based on Intel's next generation handheld platform
(code name "Moorestown") you will want to see our highly integrated MSIC/PMIC solution that optimizes
battery life and sound quality.

Live Demonstrations
-
See NEC Electronics MSIC/PMIC operating in a "Brentwood Bay" mobile internet device form factor.
This design speeds time-to-market and improves performance while minimizing risk.
-
View the most widely deployed and robust MSIC development solution that simplifies and accelerates
Moorestown system boot-up and validation.
If you need to extend battery life in your portable devices, check out NEC Electronics' intelligent
buffer IC. Through improved display control, this MIPI-DSI compliant device lowers power consumption.

Live Demonstrations
-
See NEC Electronics' buffer IC, with MIPI-DSI input and RGB output, buffering still images to a
quarter HD panel to allow the host processor to sleep during still-image refresh. The buffer IC will
be shown doing rotations without full-image retransmission and allowing picture-in-picture for both
video and still images.
-
The next-generation buffer IC will implement AGCPS (automatic gamma control and power savings), an
advanced display control technology. The AGCPS IP will be shown running on an FPGA. This IP reduces
power by reducing the backlight, based on BOTH ambient light AND image content, while maintaining high
image quality via implementation of a non-linear gamma curve.
NEC Electronics will showcase its EMMA (Enhanced Multimedia Architecture) series, a core technology for
digital AV products such as digital televisions, set-top boxes, and Blu-ray Disc recorders and players.
In addition, EMMA Mobile, with advanced low-power technologies for mobile multimedia devices, will be
demonstrated.
