This complete kit is designed for easy demonstration as well as in-depth evaluation of the CPU and motor control functions of NEC Electronics' 8-bit 20 MHz low-pin-count µPD78F0712 microcontroller. The board's debugging features enable access to flash programming and standard debugging commands to execute code, set software breakpoints and manipulate memory.
The board can be operated in standalone mode to evaluate the main features of the MCU or it can be connected to a host computer to evaluate the dedicated motor control peripherals. A low-voltage inverter block can be used for evaluating 3-phase BLDC motor algorithms and for low-voltage motor applications that require drive capability for motors up to 18 volts.
