Interface Devices and Cores

ADVANCED MEMORY BUFFER
NEC Electronics' new Advanced Memory Buffer (AMB) was developed through collaboration with Intel to deliver increased memory performance to high-performance applications such as servers, routers and graphics controllers.

CPU PERIPHERAL PRODUCTS
NEC Electronics' new series of µPD65881GB devices includes lead-free products that are functionally similar to the well-known µPD7105x PC peripheral chips and 825x support chips.

PCI EXPRESS
Based on proven SerDes technology, NEC Electronics offers a variety of ASIC cores and configuration options for implementing PCI Express connectivity in custom designs.

SERIAL ATA
Serial ATA is an interconnect technology for use with hard disk drives, redundant array of independent disk (RAID) systems and storage network applications.

USB
Whether you need a host or hub controller, or a PHY or ASIC solution for a USB peripheral, the NEC Electronics family of USB 2.0 products ensures that you can design with confidence.

WIRELESS USB
NEC Electronics is a core member of the Wireless USB Promoter Group, which is crafting a specification for a Wireless USB standard that will provide high-speed connectivity over a distance of 10 meters.

POWER LINE COMMUNICATIONS
NEC Electronics' single-chip digital PLM-1 modem ASSP contains a half-duplex transmitter/receiver for PLC, operates in noisy electrical environments, and supports a range of programmable baud rates and carrier frequencies. The PLM-1 solution is available as an ASSP or as an IP core for design into NEC Electronics gate array and cell-based ASICs.

SUPER RESOLUTION
NEC Electronics' super resolution improves image quality when low-resolution video and still images are displayed in high-resolution. Using NEC Electronics' unique single-image super-resolution technology, blurring and graininess is reduced by analyzing and processing image data in real time. Super resolution technology is available as an ASSP and as an IP core.
