EMMA Car

EMMA Car, the Newest Member of the EMMA Enhanced Multimedia Architecture Family

EMMA Ecosystem

The new EMMA™ Car family of automotive SOC devices now joins other exciting members of NEC Electronics' EMMA platform solutions. The new devices represent the third leg of an overall strategy to create a common software ecosystem across a wide variety of applications, including those in the home, mobile and automotive industries.
  • EMMA - for home A/V
  • EMMA Mobile™ - for mobile handsets
  • EMMA Car - for automotive infotainment systems

Previously announced NEC Electronics EMMA brands have already created strong uptake in their respective markets. EMMA Car is positioned to have the same positive response in the automotive market space. Never before has time-to-market been such a critical issue for developers of automotive infotainment systems. Consumers are demanding access to their multimedia content in their cars, just as they now have in their homes, offices and handsets.
    Benefits of EMMA Technology Synergy
  • Early technology adoption
  • Faster time to market
  • Proven architecture
  • SOC macro re-use
  • Development cost reduction
  • Established middleware components
  • Wide software ecosystem
